69 straight days swimming laps in the pool. I stepped on the scale on Saturday, and it read: 151.2 lbs. The kids & I ate some pizza on Saturday (and Sunday), so I weigh a bit more. Down 27.4 lbs since January 1st. Anywho, I've shared before that I time myself in the pool. My best time is 7:21 (a few weeks ago, it was 9:08). Tonight I hit 7:22. Same time as Saturday. I looked at my watch, and was a bit disappointed that I was 2 seconds off a new record. Then it hit me... I showed up. Again. For the 69th straight day. And I finished 1 second slower than my best time. I'm celebrating that as a win! I see this online often, and I've fallen in this trap far too often. Last week was better than this week. 3 months ago was better than this month. Your latest offer didn't sell as well as your previous offer. Your last 20 posts haven't went viral like that one several weeks ago. This can lead some to spiral, overthink, overanalyze, or 32nd guess yourself. Been there. Done that. Got a closet full of the t-shirts. You ain't gonna beat your best every single day. Show up, do the work, and get a bit better from the day before. Some days you'll feel on top of the world. Some days you'll be 1 second off. Both of those days are wins. 69 days of swimming taught me more about momentum (and confidence) that any business book I've read. Consistency doesn't mean perfection (there's no such thing as perfection, anyhow). It means showing up when you're tired, don't feel like it, when nothing feels like it's working. That's where the real change happens, as you're becoming a person who finishes what they start. This is exactly what happens inside Jax. You stop overthinking/constant tinkering the perfect offer, and start building the "good enough" one that you'll improve with customer feedback. You stop competing with what you imagine others are doing and start competing with the version of you from yesterday. You walk out with a real offer and your first customer in 5 days, guaranteed. Then it's about stacking 10 customers by day 28, and riding that into $100 days by day 90. The "First Customer Guarantee" doesn't allow the self doubt spiral to take control.
